Ava’s eleventh birthday is coming up, and she’s determined to rescue the yellow tabby with the mismatched ears from the vet clinic. When ava’s parents finally agree, she comes up with the perfect palindromic name for her new pet: t-ac-o-c-a-t! Inspired by her new friend, ava begins writing a story called “the cat who wouldn't purr.” but when her story is published in the local paper, what starts out as exciting news soon turns into a disaster.
