Chicago Fair Trade is the largest fair trade coalition in the US. CFT’s mission is to raise awareness and build support for fair trade and its principles of environmental sustainability, ethical production, fair wages, and safe working conditions.
From the makers:
We partner with a small fair trade, family owned workshop in Kathmandu Nepal. We employ 60 women artisans and provide a fair wage, job training, medical expense reimbursement and give a portion of our profits to pay full school tuition for our worker’s children.
We have continued to keep all of our artisans in Nepal paid and employed during Covid.
