I spent a love-filled childhood in Madagascar with strong family ties back in Minnesota. After living, loving and raising my 3 amazing daughters in the Washington D.C. area, I returned to India in 1998 and ignited my soul's passion of serving communities in India, building friendships and helping them thrive and then sharing my love of India with my customers here in the USA.
In 2004 I formed my first retail company Red Persimmon Imports in order to market products from Blue Mango Trust, a women's empowerment group in South India. It grew to include traditional artisans and groups all over India.
I started my tour company in 2012 as a response to my customers wanting to go where I go and see where I work in India.
In 2015 I moved back to the Minneapolis area and in 2017 I opened a retail store under the name Marigold Way. After a good 3 year run Marigold Way closed at the end of 2020 and I now operate soley under Marigold Arts & Adventures.
My background as a fine artist and textile artist has compelled me to study under Master Hand Block Printers in the Jaipur area. After learning and practicing for 6 years, I opened my studio in the Minneapolis area where I create and teach classes on the art and tradition of Indian Hand Block Printing. I continue to learn and grow along with my students.
