Michelle Brusegaard is a mixed media artist living and working in Northeast Minneapolis. She received her BFA in painting and photography from the University of North Dakota in 2005. After relocating to Minneapolis, she began selling her paintings at fairs and galleries, teaching herself to screen print on the side. In 2008, she quit her day job peddling art supplies to launch her own print and design business. Today she works out of the Northrup King Building, where she paints as well as produces a line of screen-printed apparel, home textiles, greeting cards and more. Her work relies heavily on her love for ornament and pattern and her irreverent sense of humor.
